Age: 35
Pultrusion Leadman

I’m a single dad with a 15 year old son who is a freshman at East High this year. He’s been putting on the muscle for the last while and I have to shape up so I can show him that the old man can still give him a run for his money. Obviously from the above picture I need to lose a few and a little more muscle couldn’t hurt. Wow, is that really me? SIGH. And of course, all the benefits that come with less weight and better overall conditioning are just a bonus. So, we’ll all be winners in that category, it’s just the others we have to grind everyone else down in.

I have 2 children, William is 14 and just started Central High School, Zoe is 9 and goes to Holston Elementary.

The reason I joined the challenge is to lose weight. 3 years ago I was the perfect weight for my height then I was diagnosed with a hyperthyroid. I went thru 2 years of having my medicine increased every couple of months to slow my thyroid down, and gained weight every month I was on the medicine. My thyroid is pretty much settled now and I want to lose the weight I gained and get back into the routine I had before the medicine took all my energy. My goal is to lose all I can while restarting the routine that had me the perfect weight before the medicine.

My goal is to lose about 20 or 30lbs. I have 3 kids. One is 10 years old and he is very active. So I need to shed off this weight to keep up with him. About 5 years before I started working at Strongwell, I weighed 300lbs. I lost about 100lbs, but lately, I gained 30lbs back. SO, I want to get back to my weight when I first met my boyfriend.

I have three children; I'm getting older and I'm not dealing with it well. My Goal is to lose weight, tone-up and feel better about myself. Another goal is to be more active. About 5 years ago I quit smoking. Then I was in school for 15 months behind a desk and all of that plus age, all adds up!

So the Corporate Challenge I think well give me the competitiveness to go get 'em. All you other teams best beware - Waist Recovery is in the house!

I quit smoking a little over three months ago and have gained a little over thirty pounds. I joined the corporate challenge to shed a few of those extra pounds that have creeped up on me! I also joined for strengthening and toning. I believe this is a great opportunity to see if my family and I would like to join the YMCA since we have talked about it many times.

I have also signed my two children up to get them away from the playstation and television a while! This will give them a chance to get some extra exercise and meet new people since we haven't lived in this area long.

We would all like to say "Thank you Mr. Tickle!"
